Building a more sustainable and resilient agricultural sector is crucial to align with Paris Agreement and achieve a net-zero carbon future by 2050. Reaching such goal means putting more effort on the promotion and facilitation of the channelling of financial resources to support sustainable and transformative practices within the agricultural and food systems.

IFAD Knowledge, Climate Bonds Initiative and the Platform for Agricultural Risk Management (PARM) are co-organizing the Food4Thought series’ new episode, “Revolutionizing Agri-Food Investments: Paving the Way for a Resilient, Sustainable Future”, on 24 November at 12:00 CET.

This event will explore the promotion and facilitation of the channelling of financial resources to support sustainable and transformative practices within the agricultural and food sectors. The goal is to encourage investments that enable a transition towards more environmentally friendly, socially just, and sustainable agricultural and food systems.

To discuss the subject, Sean Kidney, Climate Bonds CEO, Rachel Hemingway, Climate Bonds Head of Transition Programmes and Jean-Claude Bidogeza, PARM Technical Specialist will share insights on adaptation-oriented strategies and climate finance.
