The Mediterranean Youth Task Force, in collaboration with the Education Track of the World Food Forum, has organized an online course composed of a series of masterclasses on “Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) and its Climate Change Mitigation Potential.”

Participants are invited to register to the full series of masterclasses here. Organized as an online course, you can choose to attend the full course (composed of 8 Masterclasses), or you can choose individually which sessions you wish to attend.

Please note that certificates of participation will be given to those who attend a minimum of 5 sessions (and session 8 is mandatory). However, depending on your time and interest, you can also choose to attend the number of sessions you prefer, always connecting with the same Zoom link.

Participants can learn about the VCM through 8 sessions. Each session will cover different topics, including greenhouse gas emissions, carbon registries, standards and methodologies, carbon credits, nature-based climate solution projects, and the Paris Agreement.

The overall course aims at engaging young participants to develop their own ideas or projects on a pre-declared topic.

The target audience of the masterclass involves youth, either students, activists, practitioners, or researchers, seeking to develop their knowledge of VCM, to deepen their understanding of how to work on VCM functions and how carbon credits are generated, monitored, verified, issued and retired after their use in climate action strategy in relation to the nature-based climate solutions.
