IFAD: Catalysing adaptation capital at scale through blended public-private pools

On 20th June, 2022, IFAD Strategy and Knowledge Department will host its Food4Thought series of monthly learning events, with the very first event dedicated to Climate Adaptation Capital!

Appetites are growing for “Carbon Mitigation Market 3.0” potential post CoP26.  Adaptation, and its monetization and investment potential, on the other hand,  does not resonate with the vast majority of non-specialist investment and finance actors. At best they see it as a classic “Wicked Public Good” problem for Governments to sort out and, at worst, adaptation in a climate sense is an alien dialect.

The guest of this session will be Paul Clements-Hunt, Chief Executive Officer, The Blended Capital Group and the session will cover:
