Dr. Helene David-Benz 

Dr. David-Benz is a French senior agro-economist at the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development  (CIRAD), with 25-years experience in agriculture markets in developing countries. Her main topics of research are supply chain management, market information systems (MIS), farmers’ access to market, multi-stakeholders’ dialogue, and agriculture policy, with a specific emphasis on food crops. During the last few years, she has focused on price instability, public and private strategies to manage market instability and the role of MIS. Regarding MIS, she is interested in the role of information at both policymaking level and market players’ level. Helene David-Benz has lived in Senegal, Cameroun and Madagascar and worked in several African countries for 17 years. She is currently based in France.
