The Agriculture Finance (AgriFin) is a center of excellence on agriculture finance in the World Bank Group, covering both practical tools for finance practitioners as well as knowledge and best-practices for policy makers. This initiative was initially launched with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and it is now managed by the World Bank Group’s Finance Competitiveness & Innovation Global Practice.

The goal of AgriFin is to improve the design and implementation of agriculture finance policies and solutions through:

  • Sharing tools, knowledge, and best practices among financial and development experts and practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders interested in agriculture finance.
  • Organizing webinar series and events, featuring guest speakers to share their expertise on a range of agricultural finance topics.
  • Encouraging knowledge exchange among members.

AgriFin is hosted by the World Bank’s Collaboration for Development (C4D) community, promoting knowledge sharing and networking by offering free membership to policymakers, researchers, experts and practitioners.
