[CIRAD] Agroecological practices are widely used by African farmers

[CIRAD] A recent working paper by the Viability project team makes the bold claim that African farmers, be they smallholders or larger-scale farmers, are already widely using a selection of agroecological practices. This deliberately contentious observation, which runs counter to the common belief that agroecology is not viable for African farmers, applies to a diverse range of socio-political and ecological contexts.
