India: Mango production in Goa likely to fall by 65 pc

IBN Live (Apr. 26, 2012) | Mango production in Goa is expected to decline by up to 65 per cent this year, largely due to uneven weather conditions in the state in the last two seasons, according to the agriculture department. A rough estimate worked out by the department indicates that the production in 2012 would be 3,500-4,000 tonnes as compared to 9,000 tonnes in 2011.
