Pakistan Observer (Dec. 24, 2011) | Gomal Zam Dam will significantly contribute towards socio-economic development of the country, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khayber Pakhtunkhwa in particular, as the project will ensure availability of water for irrigated agriculture, control floods and provide low-cost hydel electricity.
