The East African (Dec. 12, 2011) | Kenya is seeking $1 billion over the next 10 years to build 30 large dams in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. The country is still nursing severe water shortage in several regions with arid and semi-arid areas the worst hit, despite the heavy rains pounding the country.
