Philippine: Crop insurance awards indemnity checks to typhoon affected farmers

Philippine Information Agency (Oct. 21, 2011) | To help restore the livelihood of the farmers whose crops were heavily devastated in the series of typhoons in region 2, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) has awarded indemnity checks amounting to P70 million to farmers’ associations and individuals whose crops were insured under the state-run crop insurance.
