ABC News (September 27, 2011) | The United Nations says the humanitarian disaster in the Horn of Africa is getting worse by the day. The World Bank is coming to the rescue, quadrupling its funding to $2 billion US, to tackle the worst drought in the region for six decades. Millions of people are starving, and many more are fleeing their homes to find food and shelter. Africa correspondent Ginny Stein spent 10 days in northern Kenya and filed this report.
