ABOUT THE WEBINAR
This series is sponsored jointly by the International Development Research Center (IDRC) and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), and is organized by the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR).

Since the introduction of the climate-smart agriculture (CSA) framework, various organizations have implemented CSA approaches within the spectrum of research, development, extension and policy advocacy. CSA interventions were tested in climate-smart villages (CSV), and benefits and challenges were documented and shared. After almost a decade of research and promoting CSA in Southeast Asia, a key challenge is scaling out CSA.

In this 2-part webinar, research and development agencies will share lessons they drew from implementing CSA scaling strategies. It will also facilitate discussions to improve the knowledge and concepts on scaling and on CSA.

This webinar is divided into two sessions:
1. Climate Smart Villages as Platforms for Community-based Adaptation in Southeast Asia
2. Creating Co-Benefits from Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) as a Case for Scaling Out via Development Programs

At the end of this series, a working paper will be produced.
