Lean principles have been applied on farms across the world- small, mid-size or large scale farms.

This webinar will share how lean farming can increase farm profitability. Implementing lean techniques may include, creating process maps, leading brainstorming sessions, identifying improvement areas, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and creating a plan for managing and sustaining an efficient farm with minimal waste.

About the speaker

Troy Rice

CEO and Founder, Farm Brigge

Troy Rice began practicing Lean while working for a large insurance company in various financial roles including accounting and strategy. With a passion for process improvement, Troy pursued a Green Belt in Lean and became a Certified Lean Green belt- leading training programs and facilitating/coaching over 6 kaizen events for the $2B organization.

With a vision to help and be a leader in local food sustainability, Troy and his wife Tiffany, created and launched Farm Brigge in May 2019. Farm Brigge is an ecosystem that supports Lean business practices in farms, as well as giving farms access to local consumers, and providing education on the value of consuming nutrient dense local food for the consumer and their family.

Through Farm Brigge, Troy Rice provides technical assistance, education, and online opportunities to connect to consumers.
