Christian Derlagen

Christian Derlagen is a Programme Manager in the Agrifood Economics Division of FAO where he oversees the Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies (MAFAP) programme, a leading FAO initiative that works with governments across sub-Saharan African and South Asia to monitor, prioritize and reform agricultural policy to accelerate the transformation of food systems, reduce hunger and malnutrition, and fight poverty. Christian has 15+ years’ experience in investment and public policy reform for food and agriculture, having worked at FAO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs. He holds a master’s degree in Law from Maastricht University.
