FARM-D Podcast – Episode 1: Gender Mainstreaming in Agricultural Risk Management (ARM)

Focus Topic:
FARM-D CoP, Gender / Youth / Social Inclusion

Women and men have different ways to act and react, in particular, different capacities to manage the risk they face. Gender mainstreaming in ARM is a way to really take into consideration, the specific needs of men, women, youth, as well as of different groups – especially the most vulnerable or marginalized groups within the community they live. Why and how do we integrate gender dimensions into ARM strategies? And What are the gender gaps or challenges in current ARM strategies?

We discuss the topic with our guest Ms Désirée Zwanck, Gender Specialist at PARM, interviewed by Dorcas Mayala Ntumba, PARM Knowledge Management Specialist and FARM-D Senior Manager.
