This presentation details flood modeling, experiences of flood modeling in SE Asia, satellite remote sensing, and insurance solutions for farmers. This presentation is useful in going over flood risk management and crop and livestock insurance in particular to transfer risk away from farmers due to flooding and how insurance products can be designed. The last part of the slide is a feasibility study of flood index insurance, with the conclusion that it can be done, while difficult to operate, flood insurance just requires technical capacity, training and education, and stakeholder coordination.
