The purpose of this paper is to provide baseline information about rural transport services in Kenya, relative to other countries in Eastern and Southern Africa and South Asia. It is also meant to provide a basis for making choices between different types of IMT interventions within the framework of KENDAT’s Rural Transport Services Project.
