PARM at IFAD22 Conference: the ARM pillars through a gender lens

PARM will host a special panel within the IFAD22 Conference, on the 23rd of June.

The session will present the three pillars of ARM according to the PARM process:

  • An in-depth assessment of the risks
  • The development of capacities to manage risks
  • The tools available to address risks The PARM process is carried out in co-production with the governments of the countries where PARM operates.

All these pillars will be analysed through a gender lens.

The process is validated through participatory and iterative workshops with local and international agriculture stakeholders to turn risks into opportunities. PARM therefore also assists countries to kick -start a systemic and holistic approach to ARM.

INSURED provides technical assistance to the IFAD-financed portfolio, with the aim of protecting incomes and promoting investment in smallholder agriculture. The ultimate goal is to increase food security and farmer’s resilience to shocks.
