Ifad Programme Builds Small Farmers’ Resilience Through Knowledge Sharing in Water-Scarce Countries

IFAD (November 20, 2014) | Announced at 2014 United Nations Global South-South Development Expo in Washington, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) announced a US$2.7 million programme targeting more than 1,000 rural youth and women in Algeria, Egypt, Hungary, Morocco, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The programme will support small farmers to share their experiences and skills in order to collaborate on possible solutions to save water, cultivate water-efficient crops and breed cattle.
