Nigeria: Fertilizer Adulterators to Get 7-Year Jail Term

allAfrica (June 13, 2013) | Federal Government said its draft Fertilizer Bill 2013 proposes a seven-year jail term for anyone found to have adulterated fertilizers. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Akinwumi Adesina, who disclosed this to State House correspondents in Abuja after yesterday’s Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan, said the proposed law was aimed at sanitizing the production of fertilizers in the country.
