The Star (May 29, 2013) | Experts from the Plant Health Inspectorate Service and Kenya Seed Company are meeting in Eldoret to seek ways of controlling the new maize disease which is affecting farms in many parts of the country. Agriculture cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei has directed the experts to find a solution for the disease which threatens to cut down maize production this year.Farmers have been advised to carry out crop rotation on their farms as the state plans to circulate resistant seeds to farms.
