India: Unprecedented cold wave brings great worry for agri dependent northern part of West Bengal

The Economic Times (Jan. 11, 2013) | Prevailing unprecedented cold wave in entire northern part of Bengal in Himalayan foothills has already started casting its dark shadow on Rabi crop yield of the region that contributes heavily to the state as well as national crop production. If continues for over a week more, the chill wave can become disastrous for the whole region’s agriculture and thus economy- feel experts.
