Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announces 50 percent subsidy on irrigation tube-wells

Business Recorder (Jan. 3, 2013) | Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced 50 percent subsidy on installation of agricultural tube-wells to help bring maximum barren land under cultivation in the province. Talking to media, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Agriculture, Arbab Mohammad Ayub Jan said that the cost of the installation of one tube-well is Rs 0.6 million and under the subsidy a farmer can install it at the cost of Rs 0.3 million.
