AsiaOne (Aug. 27, 2012) | As the Council of Agriculture (COA) is conducting a comprehensive investigation into whether retailers intentionally increased vegetable prices during typhoons, investigators discovered that prior to Typhoon Tembin’s arrival, prices of fruits and vegetables in so-called “low-cost” supermarkets were actually much higher than prices in traditional markets.
