Today’s Zaman (Feb. 10, 2012) | Turkey’s seed production has risen fourfold, while seed export has increased by a factor of six in the past nine years. According to an announcement by the Food, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Ministry, Turkey exported seed to 66 countries, in particular to Russia, Ukraine and Italy. Seed export generated $109 million in revenue for the country in 2011.
