Two plants diseases threaten cassava production in East Africa

Coast Week (Jan. 27, 2012) | The proliferation of deadly Cassava Brown Streak Disease (CBSD) and resistant to the equally devastating Cassava Mosaic Disease (CMD) is a threat to food security and well-being of farmers in East Africa, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) warned in an official statement issued and sent to Xinhua Monday in Kigali, Rwanda.
